Can someone tell me what this plant is? Somebody told me it was a Ficus. I don't think it is because it has no bark and a strange flower when it first pops up( I have Ficus in my yard. They are crazy invasive trees). It lives about 3 months then dies and comes back about 2 months later as a rather ugly looking flower. I bought a Dessert Rose and it grew from the pot the Rose was in. Can anyone tell me anything about this? Thank You Kevin

It does not look like any Ficus with which I am familiar, but one of our experts should be along soon with ideas.

While we wait for the experts to chime in, can you tell us what the flowers looked like? color, shape, size, fragrance?

If you can, please remove one small branch, lay it on a flat surface and take photos of the front and the back so we can get a better look at the leaves.

You say this plant appeared in the pot with a Desert Rose; where was the plant obtained?
