Growing in herb garden. Does not smell like mint. Have had guesses of mint, basil and salvia. None seem to fit leaf veining or edging, flower stalk, or hairs. Has no trailers spreading (as mint would). Any ideas?

I just wanted to say welcome, Desertgardener! I don't know offhand what your mystery plant is, but those blooms should help with an ID from some of the master gardeners. Plant ID is not my forte as of yet.

Hi @desertgardener

Could it be a catmint (Nepeta)?

It's Basil/Ocimum...possibly 'Blue Spice' or O. tenuiflorum/Holy Basil.

Thank you Dnd!

June, it doesn't quite match as catmint -- but you are not the first to suggest that!

Janine, Blue Spice -- YES!!! That's it. It is surely the closest I've seen. I think you got it. Hurray!
