Our blueberries are shriveling prior to ripening--pictures included. Geographic area: Puget Sound (blueberries do well here). Seasonal weather: we had a very wet Winter and Spring, and, so far, a very dry Summer, but have been watering daily (possibly too much). Disease control measures: none. Thoughts?

#1pot/pan you have them only looks to be 4 or so inches deep. I'm i right ? Bed should be at least 18 inches deep.
#2. Your drowning them watering everyday. Soil needs to dry to between 1 to 2 inches. Roots need air.
Right now. I would aerate with pitchfork or even a kitchen/bbq fork a few several inches down. Get some air to roots. Right now.
Then. Only water when top 1 to 2 inches of soil is fairly dry.
And then water deeply.

Anything i say, could be misrepresented, or wrong.

Thanks! Yeah, I noted today how shallow the pots are that my mom has 'em in; made me think that they're quite possibly root bound. I'll aerate tomorrow, add more soil, and cut back on the water. Thanks again!
