I have a huge clematis vine. I've already had to cut it down. It has grown back and is blooming again. I would like to plant some of this in another area. How do I take it up and get it to grow in another spot?

To hot right now.
In fall dig part out. Or you could start right now. By taking a branch and bend it to ground and bury it. Leaving tip out of ground. Nick part of branch thats below ground. Keep watered. By late fall, early winter it will probably be rooted.
You could also air layer.

PS : I bet you could start a cutting. Kept in indirect lite. Also.
Anything i say, could be misrepresented, or wrong.
