Hi there, my dad thinks this was ground cover from a flowerbed that's run wild, we don't know what it is or how to get rid of it. I forgot to take a picture of the whole thing, it's almost vine like, 6 inches or so long with little roots along the vine to hold it down. I've attempted to google a description of it to no avail. Thanks.

Maybe Ajuga reptans Bugleweed

Bugleweed (Ajuga reptans)
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

Here's a couple more photos just to be certain. I showed Dad a picture of the flowering plants and he agrees that it might be correct.
