This plant is growing in my vegetable garden, where I had planted sweet pepper seeds. Is it a weed ?

Welcome!

The flowers only last a day so be quick looking for open flowers.

You have to be quick with these. The name says it all! You can save seeds easily and resow or let them reseed themselves.

Perfect, wasn't sure whether to pull them up or not. Thank you for the info!

If you keep it and reseeds, they're easily pulled. The seedlings are distinctive and have shallow roots.

I tried to spread them a bit in my gardens but they never grew. The seeds in the planter where I had them did well but disappeared after 3 years. Shrug!
