Someone help me identify this? Just found growing at the base of dead rosemary plants it looks like some kind of fungi to me. Pictures unfortunately are after I pulled it up with a tool when I first saw it I thought it might be something melted or a some type of blob, but it definitely grew there. I know for a fact that the area hasn't been watered in weeks and it's well over 100* regularly (Phoenix). It has the texture and density of a heavy mushroom and is about the size of an appetizer plate.

It might be something called Dog Vomit Fungus. Really! Smiling

Moved it to a different thread:Mushroom App
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.
