How about this?
A cross I made last year of Westbourne's So Blue Without Teresa and Star Child:

Thumb of 2017-09-02/Avedon/22fa6e
WB So Blue Without Teresa pod parent

Thumb of 2017-09-02/Avedon/1181ea
Star Child pollen parent

There were six seeds from this cross and four germinated. We have four very nice looking plants and we hope to see first blooms next year.

Thanks, Nikki and Valerie. The two other Westbournes I have in this color range is WB On Cloud Nine and WB Good Old Days, both beautiful bitones, but not small flowers.

I really like those Westbourne daylilies--haven't seen any of them available on the european sites. I love bi-tones.

Valerie--you HAVE to add Sweet Pea Baby, it's gorgeous--how can you resist?

Besides, I think it's a forum rule that once you've said you're thinking about it that you have to get it! Hilarious!

Think of all the lovely little baby Sweet Pea Seedlings you can make! Lovey dubby

I know and I bought new minis this year! I have had good success with my other Westbourne daylily and with the 'rule', I have to get it Hilarious! . There is another I am tempted by, but I think I will get it in the spring. It is

I really like your two bi-tones, Avedon. WB Mom's Designer Clothes is registered at 5.5 inches, so not small, either.

@frankrichards16 I love Little Grapette too. But I think my favourite would be Grape Velvet. I like a plant that adds to the garden "view" as well as/more than a fancy close up. My tastes are changing as I try to simplify things.

Grape Velvet is very pretty. How about this: there is a new scape on WB So Blue Without Teresa. So far I count four buds and would be happy if all four could produce flowers this late.

I received and planted my September orders last week. I concentrated on minis and small daylilies. I am redoing two areas in my gardens. One is a section of garden near my small pond and space is limited. In this area I added:

The other is an area along the south side of the house. I added Ben Lee along the pathway.

I also received Blue Flirt. I am not sure how well this one will do for me, but I planted it in a very sheltered area in my garden.

I also received Circular Thinking in the order with Ben Lee and Blue Flirt.

I received a bonus plant in my first order and it was Gary's Big Blues

@touchofsky--Valerie, that will be such a lovely bed when they all flower.

Funnily enough I was just looking at Ben Lee earlier today and wondering if I could find space for it in spring. I have one of his babies, "Barn Owl", but it's new this year so not flowered yet.

I have looked at Ben Lee for a few years, and finally decided to just go ahead and buy it. I just looked at Star Child and it has a small proliferation. I don't know what to do with it so late in the season.

Can you pot it up and put it somewhere sheltered, Valerie?

I have two prolifs on Priscilla's Dream but I am planning on removing her from the garden this season as I need the space for something new but I will put the prolifs in cutting compost in a pot and overwinter them somewhere sheltered (prob.the cat run) in case I change my mind.

It doesn't have any roots yet, so I think I will leave it on the plant as long as the weather is nice and the scape is green. When the weather gets cold, I will cut it off and put it in water to root, and then pot it up and grow it along with my seedlings over the winter. The ground freezes so hard here in the winter, things in pots don't survive unless the pot is buried in the ground and under snow.

I meant to post a picture of WB So Blue Without Teresa today, for it rebloomed; unfortunately, I didn't get out until late, but there should be another flower tomorrow. Now, just to drive all of you crazy with wanting to get a gorgeous purple type introduction, look at one Fred Manning just brought out--it is called Lillian's Illusive Eyes, and it is a mini, registered at 2.75 inches. It is just as well that it is sold out, for my budget couldn't make it, anyway. Have to wait awhile and hope the price comes down, but in the meantime, I can enjoy the beautiful picture. I do plan to get Manning's Lillian's Sweet Thang, a lovely lavender, but it is a large flower.

I also wanted to show the seedling that is a cross between Pixie Beauty and Star Child. I hope this one grows and produces some pretty flowers next year.

@Avedon,

Fred sells a lot of seed crosses on the LA (spunky1 is his seller name) and I think I saw some with Illusive Eyes as parent if you're interested.

Sadly, Fred only sends seeds within the US so I can't bid for any (sorry, Valerie--he doesn't send to Canada either so unless you have family with an address in the US we are both out of luck)! Sad

Oh well, Nikki, I am out of luck, as well. On a good note, I picked a seed pod yesterday with 24 seeds, so I can share with you. It is Siloam Tiny Tim x Crystal Blue Persuasion.

Oh Wow--24! I managed a 12 today (will have to check which one it was, think it was Novelty Number x Little Fat Cat)

.Novelty Number is registered as a large flower but the flower is smaller here, prob in the 4.5" range. I'll get some of those sent to you, I think/hope that it will be a nice cross and both are good strong plants so should be fine in your zone. NN is dormant.

Siloam Tee Tiny x Crystal Blue Persuasion is a lovely cross, I'd love some seeds from that if you have spares.

I hope to have a few different crosses for you here but will know better in about 10-14 days days time --just a few pods left to pick now. . Some might be low numbers of seeds in each cross though as the seed harvest here hasn't been great. I will definitely be trying the covering the pistil with foil tip next year.

There will be some Honky Tonk Blues x Star Child seeds coming your way and the Star Child x Unknown Minis that you ready know about and I will have a look at the finally tally when everything is in and air-dried.
