Poop from any animal that consumes meat (and that includes human animals) can contain dangerous pathogens and organisms. The poop can contain roundworm eggs. Also, some dogs may have consumed wild animal carcasses and who knows what that would bring to your garden. (Did you know that some Armadillo can carry Leprosy?)
Let's not forget cats. Cat poop can carry Toxoplasmosis which is dangerous for pregnant women. The parasitic organism can stay alive in the soil for years and can cause birth defects in human children.
