I have both but the AAC is new for me this year, when it bloomed I though from the kitchen window that it was SM. I did see later on that the throat comes out a little large on AAC. If you were choosing between the two, which would you choose and why? I really like SM so AAC will have a lot to live up to for me. |

Well, I have both plants that were acquired in 2016: So it is way too early to be making definite judgements on them. 'All American Chief': Acquired 04-27-2016 ![]() 'Spider Man': Acquired 09-28-2016 ![]() But, at this point 'Spider Man' is way ahead of 'All American Chief', and here in my garden 'Spider Man' has to be much taller than the 24 inch registerd height. I am going to measure it, I think the rain has stopped for a while. The huge blooms of 'All American Chief' were great, but so far there have been few of them. But, 'Spider Man' has bloomed and rebloomed . I just seem to keep taking photos of it. 'Spider Man' has been a top performer so far in my garden. Edited: No, I was wrong 'Spider Man' stands out in the garden, but it was exactly 24 inches tall: We have had hard rain on and off all day just finished another down power and the bloom held up very well I think. ![]() |
