I saw this impressive climbing rose at Ripley castle garden in Yorkshire a few weeks ago. Very large clusters of pink flowers fading to very light pink. Anyone have an idea on the identity?

Do you have more pictures? My Climbing Pinkie often produces similar looking clusters of blooms but she is much smaller and does not cover herself as your rose seems to.

Sure is a pretty thing! Not Renae though, that is an American bred one.
Moved this over to the Rose Forum to see if anyone else can offer any suggestions.

I thought Renae was a good guess because it's often classified as a climbing polyantha, and the rose in the photos looks so much more like a polyantha than a floribunda. The blooms, though, in the photos are absolutely perfect, whereas Renae's blooms are more "messy" (for lack of a better word).

The blooms remind me of Flower Girl, although that rose never climbed more than 5 feet in my garden.

There's a polyantha called Blush Rambler. You took some photos of it at Alnwick Garden, Kniphofia. Does it remind you of that one? I think they look alike.

Zuzu I think you have it there. Sorry for the floribunda/polyantha confusion.

I'll ask on the Ripley castle FB page to see if they have a record of the name.

Thanks everyone!
Sue
