So I've been growing this plant for about two months now; ordered seeds online and the only form of plant id on the package says "nepenthes." The problem is that it looks nothing like any of the nepenthes I've seen online and the package the seeds it came in doesn't specify to the species level. The most information I can provide is that it is supposedly in the genus nepenthes and that the seeds came from China. I'm not sure if anyone here knows anything about this type of plant but any info is greatly appreciated. I'd like to know what it is so I can provide adequate care for it.

I can provide more pictures if necessary.

I have no clue what it is, but I would advise Never buy seed from a source without researching the company. This is a problem that comes up here at least once a day. Someone orders seed/plants from the web and gets weed seeds at worst, but often not what they ordered. E-bay and others do note preferred sellers.

Welcome!

I hate to tell you this but you fit into the "orders seed/plants from the web and gets weed seeds at worst, but often not what they ordered". That is not a Nepenthes of any kind. Some sort of tree, I would guess. Do you still have some seeds that you could show us?

Thank you Daisyl! It does look a lot like Senna Siamea. Hopefully I can give it better care now that I know what it is; even if it's not the plant I intended to grow.

@Daisyl. How do you do that? You always amaze me when you just look at a photo of a plant, a a few questions and come up with the name. Just like that! Amazing, Girl! NGA is lucky to have you on this forum! Thumbs up
