This 8' tall plant, multistem or multi plants, has come up just this season and I suspect a weed. It started blooming in the last week or two (I was gone all last week so not sure). It was not there last year so I don't believe it is "good" but you never know. We do get native seeds blowing in from prairie remnants. I live out in the country in central Iowa.

Its a Common Evening Primrose (Oenothera biennis) and it is a native.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost
