This is a plant that needs watering yesterday. It may be a Jade or a desert rose. The plant will also benefit from trimming the dead parts.

Check the stems for green. Scratch a bit here and there and if you see green, it still lives. I wouldn't give up yet.

Most of the water a plant uses is lost through the leaves by transpiration. Without functioning leaves, the plant does not need nearly as much water so while for sure make sure the potting mix is not dry, but he should not keep watering it to the point where it is wet.

Yes, at this point, over-watering is also a real cause for concern. Water it once and wait for the soil to dry before watering again.
