I tip my hat to you. This plant was not in your database and is called whirling butterflies. I mean that's the common name. The genus name is Guara lindheimeri, Guadi Red (TM).

If you looked it up as "Guara" and "Guadi," that would explain why you didn't find it. It's spelled Gaura (and Gaudi).

Gaura lindheimeri is a synonym for Oenothera lindheimeri. Your search would have taken you to this entry if you had spelled it correctly.

Appleblossom Grass (Oenothera lindheimeri)

This is the entry for Gaudi Red:

Appleblossom Grass (Oenothera lindheimeri Gaudiā„¢ Red)

This is the entry for Whirling Butterflies:

Gaura (Oenothera lindheimeri 'Whirling Butterflies')

Samlav,
I frequently misspell the botanical names of plants and have found that sometimes entering less information will get me where I want to go. For example, when I just enter "Whirling Butterflies" the plant pops right up. I usually start with the common name, or even just part of the common name and see what I get. If I enter only part of the botanical name, I tend to get a long list of possibilities.

I was the same, Lauri. That is very good advice.
