Does anyone know what this plant is? We got it from a friend in the southeastern area of the U.S.
It has thick tendrils, 4 to 5 leaflets, and soft stems and underside of leaves.

I would suggest Tetrastigma voinierianum, lizards vine or chesnut vine.
