Thread OP

I am a total noob and hope to have your advice. I bought a medium sized potted Zinfin Doll 3 weeks ago, it gets indirect light on a shaded balcony still in the temporary pot I purchased it in. The leaves have just gone limp in the last day or two. Am I watering too much I water daily. Maybe the pot drainage is bad? I am planning to re-pot it in the bigger pot shown. If you have any advice I am all ears.

I would suggest that you get it out of the pot that you have it in. I have had this happen with shrubs that I leave in the nurseries pots for too long. The soil doesn't hold the moisture, so the plant dries out even with daily watering. Good luck!

Thank you I did remove the temporary pot and placed it in the bigger bot with new soil. I tried to break up the root ball a tad in case it was root bound and watered in the new soil.

Not sure if I should keep watering it now or give it a rest.

I'd keep it moist for a while. Once you let a potted plant dry out, it's really hard to get it evenly moist again. Mine seem to like lots of watering, but they're in the ground. Good luck! Mine are still small plants, but they're blooming!

I agree water issues , at the garden center we have to water hydrangea 2 to 3 times a day.
