I've seen this plant growing in several yards in my neighborhood. When I ask people what it is they don't know the name of it.

What I do know is that it is perennial. It starts blooming in late July and can go until frost. Most of the flowers are double but some are single. This plant is very tall-over 6ft. It doesn't seem to spread much, if at all. It also doesn't need staking.

Any ideas?

I think it's Rudbeckia laciniata 'Golden Glow' or similar.

Wow, I had no idea there was a Rudbeckia that grew so tall! I think that's it. Thank You!
