This is an Areca palm we have had indoors. For some reason it isn't doing so well. If anyone is able to offer any tips/information that would be great!

Yes. Don't water until the soil surface feels dry and don't let it sit in water. You are rotting the roots.

Your plant is in 2 pots. Does the outer pot(the white one) have drainage holes?
