I have collected quite a few red and white peony seed pods. Dried them. Now, I don't know what to do? The pods are like rock...or maybe they are the seeds? Can someone tell me where to find a picture of a peony seed? These may be peony trees, I am not sure if there is a big difference in the seeds. The only thing I do know is it takes years to grow peonies from seed. I really need some advice here. Thanks in advance. I intend to give these seeds away if and when I can figure out what they look like and do I really have the seeds.

Hi JB, are the pods closed? I've never collected them in time but from what I remember, the pods should open on their own to expose the seeds inside.

Here's a picture I found in the Peony forum. You can probably find more of them or ask someone over there.
