I have a booklet that is a SUPPLEMENT TO NATIONAL GARDENING, THE BOOK OF TOMATOES, originally publishes 1978, second revision 1995, 29th printing. It's a great booklet. How can I purchase 12 more for a gardening club?

It seems to be out of print but I did find it forsale at online used bookstores.

You could copy it to give to your friends.

Good luck!

I buy old books from online sellers; most books are pretty cheap and some sellers offer free shipping. To buy 12 of the same book you may have to contact more than one seller.
Here is one example:

I checked the book sellers site again; they have 17 copies available; you can probably get 11 of them for less than $5 each, some as cheap as $3.99 each.

I have the original book files (along with all our other books) and am preparing it for print again, but it's not ready yet. We have run into some technical challenges in getting it back up.

In the meantime, you're in luck because Amazon currently has 35 copies of them for sale used, around $5 each. I think that's the best approach:

I checked Amazon and the particular booklet doesn't seem to exist there. Were you thinking of an older or newer version?

Um, it just occurred to me that few of you know my past. I was a member of Gardens For All back when the mag was a pamphlet. And I keep stuff FOREVER.

I have the Gardens For All Book of Tomatoes, 1978 sixth printing 1983, Dick and Jan Raymond. I've been all around for so long, I didn't even realize you were the same group.

Forgive my forgetfulness, LOL!

Should I do something with this treasure?

Like Yardenman, I have the "Gardens for All Book of Tomatoes," but mine is the 8th printing. I have a lot of books from that era... Smiling

The available Amazon offerings differ in year and printing. I assumed the details of that mattered.

It's the same book, regardless of which printing you have.

If anybody has any old copies of the National Gardening magazine, I'm looking for some specific back issues and would pay for copies if you have them in decent condition. Tree-Mail me if you have any.
