Out of curiousity what happened to you today?

It's 4:30am here and I woke up to get a drink and saw a big light flash through my window. I went to check on my car through the window and saw an ice cream truck parked in the middle of the street. Why on Earth is an ice cream truck doing rounds at 4:30am? Very suspicious Glare

Philip, have you made that before? Sounds intriguing! Would love a full recipe.

What happened to me today? I found leaves on my brand new ocotillo, which I got as a bare root plant. It's going to make it!!!! Sent texts to my entire family. It's like having a baby, but less painful. Rolling on the floor laughing

@RenaeC, yes, and cigars!

@Philipwonel, so you're saying we're both senile?

Today at work, well, handcuffs were involved, and not in a fun way. Thumbs down

No handcuffs on me. I'm Switzerland. Which is a nice way of saying that absolutely no one was happy with me today.

I didn't see this post yesterday, but today apparently I got bit or pricked by something yesterday. I recall scratching my left fore finger after pulling weeds and piddling in the yard. This morning the second joint and the fleshy part of my finger is swollen, there's a bright red dot/bump on my second knuckle, and I can hardly bend it. It hurts some to use this keyboard. I smeared a Rx quality cortisone on it early this morning and rubbed it in for about 15 mins. WTHeck??? Confused Maybe I should give up and start wearing gloves? Maybe I should rub some pickled avocado on it since it didn't turn out for Philip?

I would seriously go get it checked out, Cheryl! I once got pricked from this huge pointy yucca bush. It turned out it got stuck in my finger and swelled from an infection cause a piece of the pointy plant broke off inside my finger. I had to get it drained, a tetanus shot, and wear a finger brace for 2 weeks. I wasn't even gardening when it happened. I just happened to lift my hand at the wrong time passing that bush and then got pricked. I'd definitely wear gloves int he future for what happened to you though!

Yes Cheryl, you could have an infection. You could need antibiotics, or even surgery. I'd see a hand specialist if I were you. If not that, at least your primary doc.

You guys are so sweet to worry about me. On top of the Rx cortisone, I put bleach on it like you would for a spider bite. Took some Aleve. Topped it off with 4 margaritas at lunch with my GF. Guess what?? My finger is less swollen! I'll bet it was the Margaritas that did it! I am willing to test that theory again.

Hilarious! My Mother loved her Margaritas too! She used to say "It's the smartest drink. Wherever I have a pain, it goes there!"

Guess what...locked my keys and wallet in my car at the grocery store getting ready to leave for home. I luckily had my cell in my back pocket and text s.o. to bring me the spare, but while I was waiting someone called the cops on me cause they thought I was trying to steal a car. It's my car! ugh it was so annoying Grumbling
