Hi all I have lavender plants with flowers and appear to be thriving But they don't have any smell to them ☹️
Only when they are crushed Is that how it's supposed to be ?

Yes, most of those Mediterranean herbs need to be crushed a little bit to release their scent.

Lavandula angustifolia 'Hidcote' and Lavandula x intermedia Phenomenal,

On these two, you only have to slide your fingers along the plant, do not have to crush the leaves.

I don't think so. It takes some agitation to release the essential oils in the foliage and flowers.

When it's windy, the lavender fields smell great, just from the blooms and leaves rubbing against each other.
