Hello everyone, I am new at starting daylilies from seeds, I bought 150 seeds off ebay, I had a few set backs with starting them, but now I am on the right path, thanks to this great bunch of folks here.
I would love to buy seeds or pay for postage for seeds, I am not picky on the color or style I just want lots of different colors blooming, not only do I maintain my flower bed, but my mother's as well. So if anyone has seeds they would like to sale, or share with me, I would be thankful. I just started her flower bed last year, and added some plants this year.

Thanks Stan I will look them up, I see you are from DeFuniak Springs, I use to past thur there every 3 months heading to my daughter, son in law, and grand baby, also what part of Georgia did you live? I am from a small town called Sylvester. When my daughter moved a few months ago to England, she gave me all her daylilies.

Dixiebelle,

I will have some freebies at the end of the year after I do my seed sales (and pick the ones I want for myself of course nodding ). In addition to the Lily Auction, there are also some really good FB groups that will be doing seed sales soon. I usually list mine on Bargain Basement Flower Auctions and Sales (I sell mine at a set price depending on the cross of the parents--lots of great flower buys on this page too!) and Daylily Dreaming Sales Page. Many people are still listing plants for fall buys though, and seeds usually pick up after that.

I live in your same zone, so my seed parents are ones that I know do well in our zone. Luckily, we are in a daylily sweet spot where we can grow most any type of daylily cultivar (evergreen, semi-evergreen, or dormant) here. There are some hard dormants that just dwindle here...just something to keep an eye out for when purchasing plants in the future. As far as growing them from seed, I figure if the plant dies or doesn't look as good/healthy as its neighbors after a couple of years, it is just survival of the fittest and wasn't intended to make it...much easier to swallow from a cheaper seed than an expensive plant!

If you don't mind me asking, how far are you from Augusta, Ga?

I have too many seeds that I collected last year. If you don't mind they are from last year, I can send you some (over 100 seeds) for postage. I have mostly diploids as I have given most of the tets away. Though there are a few very nice tets left. Postage is $3. Treemail me address if interested.
