Hi all- I planted a clethra about a month ago & the leaves are turning yellow. Not sure what is going on. I gave it seaweed liquid fertilizer so wondering if thats what it causing it. Is that possible? I love this plant and how fragrant it is so I hope it doesn't die. I I added a few photos. Thanks for your help!

It could be just transplant shock but I wouldn't feed it anymore. Make sure it's getting ample moisture - at least 1" of water per week until it goes dormant in the winter and the ground freezes. I see it's planted close to a wall so check your soil moisture frequently. You could spread a little compost around and then a light mulch on top.
Only when the last tree has died and the last river has been poisoned and the last fish has been caught will we realize that we can't eat money. Cree proverb
