It looks lovely, but your photo does not enlarge, so someone with keener eyesight will have to identify it.

Might be a Paul's Scarlet Hawthorn but I agree with Porkpal. Photo is not large enough for positive ID.

Paul2032: That is what it is a Paul's scarlet Hawthorn. Thanks. Sorry for the small pic but it was taken with an older camera.

Sooby: This pic was taken in the United Kingdom about where Syon Park is.

So London then. I asked because if it was flowering now in Florida it presumably wouldn't have been a hawthorn and it would have narrowed the other possibilities.

Yes, at the time 1997 - 2007 say maybe that would have been 2005 I was living in London, England and we frequented Syon park and most other parks taking pictures of the beautiful scenery.

We used to visit Syon Park too when I lived in the UK. If I remember rightly they have Taxodium distichum growing there, which I hadn't seen before and was fascinated by its "knees".

I'd never heard of Midland Hawthorn (Crataegus laevigata 'Paul's Scarlet') and oh my, those blooms are gorgeous!
