Hi Mr. Becker, what a precious you have there! Would love to hold that little one myself.

I will try to give my point of view from a business side. There are *some* lazy people out there. They want to make a quick buck.

I had a customer buy from me directly from my website and she was selling on Ebay when I was selling there too; years ago. When I harvest my own seeds, if there is a large harvest, and even if I offer 30 seeds, the customer sometimes gets 150 or more seeds if they are tiny. I pour instead of count. She began reselling my seeds and using my photo. She didn't ask to use my photo. I notified eBay. I told her it would be okay, but that to "please plant some of her own and harvest and take her own photo and cease using mine". [Now there is a longer story to that but I will spare further details.]

This scenerio (sp?) creates competition for me. Back then eBay was different. Competition is always good to keep prices low. But too low can put another out of business. . . . Sometimes it's good to weed out, sometimes not, and I could go on.

I spend hours and hours taking and editing photos for my website. Why should I have to do all the work for others to simply pick up and use? No one really offers me any help. (Not 100% true because of a few sweeties out there.)

Understand a little better, or further questions?

Teresa

Mr. Becker, with your permission, I would like to continue with the down side. [Please ask and I will delete this post at any time, ok?]

I try to be a very kind and courteous person. I try my best to approach the individual with any problem before I consult others. I believe this to be scriptural. But . . . if I believe a person wrongs me, look out! I take no vengance (sp?), but I have higher power that does, if someone has wronged me. And that/those higher power(s) are only spiritual, but that can be like meeting the gladiator lions or a polar or grizzly bear. They love me!!

The down side . . . Back before I learned and was learning how, and wrote *simple* html web pages, my website was hosted free at AngelFire (I liked the name). So Angelfire had control over my website easily.

So, this woman, who I believe posts or posted at Dave's Garden and also posts here, I think, but do not know her username, and who I hope will read this, did this to me:

I used a photo of hers on my AngelFire website. I had no idea or understanding of copyright laws. I thought you could use any photo you found online. So I took her photo of the Iris 'Full Tide' and I tweaked it editing out the background stuff. She was neither courteous, nor kind!! She did NOT even contact me to let me know I was in violation. She immediately went to AngelFire and had my website shut down. She wanted $50 for her photo.

This kind of stress level could back then throw me into a nervous breakdown . . . I'm feel sure she didn't care. I paid the $50 to get my website back up and running. [Longer details spared.]

She also was the reason I had not posted here very often, because I really do not like her at all and feels she owes me an apology. (I feel like I am a forgiving person.) Had she asked me, and given me any details of copyright laws, I would have **immediately** ceased using her photo. I had one of my own, hers was just better. Since, I've learned to take a *little* better photos, but not best or good.

Sincerely,

Teresa
