I have these two planted together.

Care to name them? Hint: they are both charming:)

From the photos, the differences between these two are one is yellow stigma, the other is red stigma, just as "Bartzella" vs. "Garden Treasure", so it is not difficult to differentiate.

Thank you Littlebin Smiling So Border Charm is on the right (with red stigma) and Prairie Charm is on the left (with creamy white stigma). Both are gorgeous!

Comparing yellow intersectional peonies I looked at my Bartzella last and this year. Last year (2015-2016) it overwintered in a pot and flowered indoors (I left only 1 bud):

The following summer I planted it in the ground and this summer it bloomed with 1 flower but the leaves look a little different, the flower is smaller:

Just interesting observation.

Garden Treasure is on the left, it has a specific center of the flower with red stigma.

You guys are all so sharp. I have Garden Treasure and Border Charm both. Border Charm definitely wants to drape (hence 'border') rather than stand upright. I put a peony ring around it to keep it from sprawling though.

Got my two peonies from Anya and they are in the front of the new round bed. Didn't want to put them up front as they are fairly tall but had to get them in the ground. Guess I will break the rules next spring and move them when the rest of the bed is rearranged.

So what is the meaning of "Prairie" Charm?

I think I'm done with yellows unless I see Sonoma YeDo or Sunny Boy offered, then I'll be right back on the yellow bandwagon....

My heavens Frank. You must have tons of room for your plants. All lovely - some a little spendy for sure.
