A lot of this lovely filler perennial at Newby Hall. It doesn't look quite right for wild carrot or Ammi majus. Pretty tall, around 4-5 feet.

Any ideas?

It may be a regular carrot. I had one that I left to go to seed and this is looking a lot like mine.

Well in this border I doubt it's a carrot. Hilarious!

In a border they'd probably call it Queen Anne's Lace Smiling Do you have any closer pictures, Sue, or maybe you remember the details? The inflorescence appears to have bracts underneath, if they are three-pronged it is likely wild carrot aka Queen Anne's Lace but I can't quite see clearly enough.

It does look like it but from the pictures it doesn't appear to have the involucral bracts that the ID plant has?
