This Black-Eyed Susan is flowering but has black spots on its leaves. The new leaves look fine, and then the black splotches show up. Anyone know the ailment and if there's anything that can be done? I'm in northern Illinois, where these are natives.

It's either a fungal or bacterial leaf spot disease. I see something like it here too on 'Goldsturm'. Some info from the Missouri Botanical Garden on Rudbeckia leaf spots and what to do about them:
