There's so many of them... and very little of the plant was included in the photo... Makes figuring out which one.... difficult.

@keithp2012 is this a plant that you purchased? Grew from a package of seed? Or... maybe it was in the garden when you bought the house?

Will you post some additional pictures?

This was growing in the wild. I was visiting NJ and got a photo but I'm not there anymore.

There is more resemblance in the open blooms of both suggestions but Stokesia buds are different, and look like this:

Looks like a Centaurea to me, and just showing that it's definitely not Stokesia.
