Got photos of these lovely plants I found in my aunt's garden. I like the nice shape of the leaves and their deep pinkish coloring....can someone ID them?

These two photos are of the same plant, one grown more under the sun, while the other in some shade:

They're all coleus. I'm not sure which the pink might be but the green looks like Henna.

You might be able to come up with an ID here

You got it Carol! I recognised it but couldn't remember the name.

(Bloodleaf) Iresine herbstii 'Brilliantissima' looks to fit.. (note spelling)

Blazin' Rose is similar though!

It's difficult to say which it is, the colour of Blazin' Rose seems to fit but the leaves look more rounded..

'Brilliantissima'..

http://www.onlineplantguide.com/PlantDetails.aspx?Plant_id=1...

I'm sure the two have been mixed up .. photos vary!

Which do you think it is tarev? I would go by the photos on the grower's site, yours looks to have the deeper pink colouring and leaf shape of Brillantissima (not with the extra 'i' ?) althought the sun glare has faded some of it.

http://www.american-farms.com/text_plant_pages/iresine.htm

It does have the extra 'i'

From the links given the first two are coleus and the last one is the Iresine herbstii - Brillantissima

Just so happy to put a name on them, I can now pass along the info to my aunt Big Grin

I'd go with Iresine herbstii 'Brillantissima' too. I've seen that one in garden centers down here many times and it sure looks to fit. If that's the ID you are going with the database could use a photo:

The reason I got it right is because I have some in my yard. I don't think the depth of color can be used for ID as it depends on how much sun it gets. I noticed this at the Pomona fair grownds where I got the cuttings. It roots very easily, and provides color in shady areas.
