So true! I 'am always baffled when a visitor compliments my garden, then adds that it sure looks like a lot of work. It's my recreation and I love every minute I spend there!

Gardening is such a two way path that I find it difficult to separate who nurtures who. Only a garden starts becoming itself when the gardener becomes an inseparable partner of the web of life of his garden. That process by which this eventually happens is when all the other members of a garden participate providing guidance to the gardener, even inadvertently. It finally trickles inside the gardener as a permanent life lesson to be shared with the large world more or less the same way. Then, yes, it is the garden that nurtures us.
Work yes...what would be life without work...I love working and a lot of it...I'm happy to be alive!
