Your last comment about planning drives me nuts. Trouble is I tend to move to the job that needs doing while halfway through another project and then I have two projects half done. I can think of four "projects in progress" around the property. Most of the plants you mention are a mystery to me.

Oh yeah, Mike, I feel your pain. I agree I've got so many "projects in progress" around here it's scary. I tend to work on the "guerilla gardening" theory...I hit an area, hit it hard, then get out. I might only whack down some blackberry brambles and plant a tree. Then, a year later, or whenever when I have time again, I come back and hit that same area again...bam, some mulch, bam, some Roundup, bam, toss in a few seeds...whatever. It's weird, but after a while, I get to a point where there's a "garden" there...

The end is nothing, the journey is all.
