Have you seen this invasive (!!!!!!) weed in your yard? It is moving northward. Can come in on nursery stock. Explosive seed pod. Pull when young as it seeds very readily as flowers appear.

I hope I wasn't the reason you have it now, MMaid! I just pulled a couple big ones, but I try really hard to get every seedling as I see them. I only seem to have them in one area.

I agree I'm sure we have it too. Maybe we swap more than intended. Hilarious!

Interesting. It is newly noticeable to me this year and seems to have come in on some viburnum shrubs from a big box store supplier. Or maybe those three pots were just in the vicinity of a mulberry weed shooting out seeds last year. Amoungst my many weeds and invasives it is not that noticeable!

Just went to take a picture of it, but seems I have pulled them all for now.

Sally, there were little ones beneathe and around the large plants I pulled. Evidently, they can flower and seed at 3-4 inches tall. '...plants may seed 12 days after germination'. So much for my laissez faire approach.

I've spotted it in one area in my front yard. Fortunately, someone told me what it was, and I yanked it before it could set more seeds.

I saw it today in a flowerbed along the bike path, so it's probably common here.

Yes Ric, we do swap more than intended, some of my very first swaps came, I think, with Glechoma Glare and a ferny Corydalis Thumbs up

My first ferny Corydalis came from you, @sallyg. nodding It was growing out of the drainage hole of a pot of plant that you gave me several years ago. I thought it looked like a plant - no offense to weeds Sticking tongue out . So I kept it. Now I have quite a lot of them in the garden.

Wanna ferny Corydalis, any one? nodding

Sally, My botany prof said "There are no weeds, only misplaced flowers". That said, I'd say I think both are pretty. Much better than Mulberry weed, our problem is not only the weed but Mulberry trees. The birds do a good job of dropping the seed everywhere, and they're a pain to remove. Sad

Donner I like the ferny Corydalis, and wouldn't mind some. Smiling

I will dig up some Corydalis for you, @Eric4home. It is a lovely plant, and blooms very cheerfully in the spring. Big Grin
