Thanks Tom.
by any chance, you recognize this one? Been looking for the tag in the garden and can't find it.

Nope, but it's a cute one.

If I had seen the broken color I might have guessed it. Smiling

My Absolute Treasure was spectacular this season with loads of stalks and they were quite thick ones. It did seem to be much lighter blue than last years blooms. It stays open for a long time in the garden and the stalks never fell over even when we had especially heavy thunderstorms. It really put on a show this year! Hope all of you who are getting it for the first time are pleased.
I did not recognize that Black Magic Woman is so much like Sharp Dressed Man and ordered it this year. I will have to put them in very different spots.

Seems like the similar ones I have tend to bloom at the same time. Would not be so bad if one were late and the other early. I have Stairway to Heaven, October Sky, and Dream Lover that look very similar. Actually, I had Dream Lover and October Sky planted side by side and they grew into each other. I think now that Dream Lover choked out Oct Sky, because they look exactly alike and I get no rebloom from what I thought was October Sky.

Jane, 'Absolute Treasure' is still in bud here, but I have noticed how thick the stalks was - a very important quality!!! Smiling

This was a second year bloom for Absolute Treasure. Last year it had about four bloom stalks and it appeared more blue than this year. It is a fabulous iris and I hope it keeps up the good work!

Jane, That's great to hear. My Absolute Treasure got munched by a critter, but still managed to put up a rather weak bloom stalk. It seems to be a determined bloomer and increaser!
