I have an Excel spreadsheet that I created in 2012, which was kind of fun. I divided each month into 4 weeks and tracked when various plants flowered, thinking it would be useful to fill in the blanks. I intended to do this on an annual basis, but it was actually quite time consuming and I never followed up (plus most plants would fall into about the same ranges). If I were to do it again, I'd divide each month into thirds (early 1-9, mid 10-19, and late 20-end of month). I also tried to note the approximate weather conditions along with various earth dates (when natural events occur). Perhaps I'll revisit this in 2018, to capture all the plants I've added since 2012.

Thanks, it was fun to do, I made it a Sunday morning habit to do a garden walk-about with a mimosa and note what was blooming, along with other notes of what needed to be done. I also tried really hard to capture the precise color of bloom, sometimes difficult to do.

You are so organized, what a smart idea! All I do on my wall calendar is write what I planted, when the J. Beetles arrived and when they left. I like your system better!
