A few years ago I was researching which TB iris to buy and came across one called 'Barefoot Contessa' for sale by a Hybridizer. I chose to purchase it. Here is a picture of TB Iris 'Barefoot Contessa" in Dave's Garden Data Base

Here are multiple images I have taken of the plant blooms over the years that was sent to me by the hybridizer. (In a variety of lighting)

I put a few images in database... they sat there for a year then someone deleted them without saying a word.

Here is another picture of it from the iris lovers blog.

According to database I am the 1 member who has this bearded Iris plant. So it's likely others have never seen it growing and whomever threw it out may be going by the plant description:

The color of the flower in the database says "Majolica Yellow". Majolica Yellow is a fancy word for "PINK".

At minimum I would think a kind explanation is in order.

If you bring this to the attention of the Plant Admins you might get an explanation. The only one I can remember is @KentPfeiffer. I forget who the other Plant Admins are. *Blush*
