It looks like an oyster mushroom but before you add it to your stir fry, get the opinion of an expert.

I second this. My grandfather picked mushrooms during the depression; he cautioned me when I told him as a child that I wanted to go in the back yard to pick mushrooms myself. A lot of mushrooms have "doppelgangers" that look, on the surface to be common, edible fungi. However, things like the lamellae, spores, etc might be slightly off - and it might be toxic. Learn from, or take it to, and expert first. That said, it does not look unlike an oyster mushroom.
