Welcome!

Maybe Bougainvillea?
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost

Thank You!

I had a bougainvillea in my yard as a child. My mom even used the flower petals in her wedding,so I'm familiar with that plant but don't think it's the same.

The large leaves and downward angle look like it's on a downward angle, so I'm thinking it is a flowering tree of some sort.

My thinking is Clerodendrum thomsoniae.
