|My zz plant was inside in my bathroom in very indirect light and it started turning black before the first month was up! It didn't fade to yellow first or anything.
So I watered it with half a cup of water and moved it to a position with a bit more light (still indirect.) And it continued turning black. And now it's all black. My partner reckons being outside might help if it's an infection or something and we both think it's going to die anyway.
Any ideas of what has gone wrong?
If I can fix it that would be nice otherwise I would like a guide on how to deal with it better next time.

|Did you take care of it, water it, love it?
That was your mistake. ZZ plants thrive on neglect - no water, poor light, no tender caresses - they can survive anything except good care. Water when the soil is absolutely dry, not before.
I'm afraid there's no hope for your plant.
