This may have been posted elsewhere in the forum but when planting a strawberry pot, insert a paper towel tube in the center of the pot before adding soil and plants. Fill tube with small pebbles. Once pot is filled with soil, you can remove the cardboard tube. Watering is a lot easier, more thorough and less messy.

Great idea!
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

I would think you may not even need to remove the tube as it will naturally decompose in time. Great idea.
