|My blooming seedlings this year were FANTASTIC! And this year half produced proliferations. I was checking them last night, and some were as big as fans, 2 on one stalk! Another had a proliferation that had bloomed ?!?, and THAT bloomstalk also had a proliferation! Is this normal? All are from well known good CV's, nothing off-base in the parents...|

|A prolif on a prolif? WOW! That Is amazing.
I have read that seedlings are prone to producing proliferations, and if your experience and mine are any indication, that is correct. My first shot at creating a cross bloomed this year and four of the twelve seedlings produced at least one proliferation. One of them, however, produced three, and on the same scape. One of those was "normal", but the other two were side-by-side on the same scape. The "normal" one bloomed, and I had a bloom open on the real scape and on the prolif at the same time.
