Hihi. My pineapple plant is acting strange. Leaves are getting dry and yellow... does this mean to much water or little water?

He was fine until we put him inside because of hurricane Irma. I have been watering every 2 days before and everything was fine, I have no idea what happened.

After yellows leaves started coming we did replant it.... two today's ago.
All advice appreciated:)

I see some dry brown patches on some of the older leaves, but I don't see leaves that are completely dry and yellow. The new growth looks very healthy and that is ultimately more important.

It is hard to know why some of the leaves are damaged. It could be wind or it might be because the soil got too dried out at some point. Those leaves can be trimmed off if you want.

I any case, repotting was not the cure and that will now make it much easier to inadvertently over water because the added soil will retain water much longer than before. Make sure you allow the soil to dry much deeper into the pot now.

I gotta say Will I agree ... I don't comment much, mostly because everyone beats me to it. You have beat me to it more than anyone else, I think. You're spot on here. Especially about the moisture content in re-potting.

Btw, @Dariarud91, very nice job on the toenails. ;)

Sorry, Sasha, I didn't mean to step on your toes - painted or otherwise! Thank you for the compliment.

Daria - Pineapples have very small root systems so it is unlikely yours was going to need repotting, even later.
