Hello,
My mexican fence post looks sick and I'm not sure how to treat it.

I live in northern California. It gets direct sun for half the day. I water it once a week at the most.

The top of it has brown bruised areas that turn into scabs. It is also starting to pucker. The bottom seems healthy. There isn't any yellowed areas. I haven't seen any insects on it.

I attached images below any advice on how to treat it would be great. I'm also pretty afraid of cutting it off. Thank you.

Daniela

Hello Danielaann, watering once a week maybe too much for it I think. The seasons are changing too, it has been chilly now overnight to early mornings, so be very careful in watering. When it gets cooler, less watering. It is hardy to 25F but got to keep it dry when it is getting cold.

Though we are getting into another bout of warm up next week, still be mindful of watering, these plants do not adjust quite fast to changes in ambient conditions.
