TY, Scott! The plant was spotted at a conservatory while I was on vacation. I know nothing more than you at this point, the visual info in the pics. The inflorescence structure does not seem to match other pics I could find searching the name on the tag, but I did not put much effort into doing that. I figured it would be better to ask those who know the plant that goes with that name in case the plant in the pics does not match.

My problem with saying that it is truly a H. coronarium is the old flower bases are a lot further apart and thinner than on my plants. The old flower bases on my plants are close like on a pinecone. Maybe sun conditions play into the factor, but that would be a big difference. My plants are grown in full sun conditions. Maybe some one else here grows the plant in less sun and will chime in.

Tiffany, The old flower base in your photos are more like those of Hedychium Kewense but I am sure many other Hedychium have that same look.
