These are some new Young sprouts, the plant grows bigger but the big ones were gone after Hurricane Irma. The Dog seeks this plant out in a side yard and eats the leaves and has been doing so for a year, never gets sick from it. Anyone know what it is?

Cute dog.
I'm sorry that I don't know what the plant is but my 3 dogs regularly eat only three things in the garden: goldenrod leaves, swamp sunflower leaves and a certain type of grass. Once your plant is identified, I may want to plant some in my garden, too. Thumbs up

Maybe Mulberry?

I think that is a possibility. Some of my dogs eat Mulberry.

Yes Thank You after looking at images I believe there are two types of Mulberry or maybe male and female plants! Some have grown into large trees that were damaged badly by Hurricane Irma in the neighborhood. We definitely have the Paper Mulberry Variety in the side yard and unkept public spaces nearby (Broussonetia papyrifera) looks like a exact match!

Thanks Again Daisyl! Thank You!

Very interesting. Thanks Daisy!
There is a video on this link:

I will introduce my dogs to a mulberry tree soon and see if they like it. The leaves are high in protein.

My friend in Thailand uses dried mulberry leaves to make tea.
