I am normally a rather earth-tone guy. "Wood is Good" and in natural aging tones.

But I have finally finished building a new compost bin

and I have this odd thought of painting the outsides of the bin in some bright color and the lift-up front slats in other primary colors. I am definitely not into pastels.

Am I being crazy and that would look completely out of character, or would it be a "statement of pride" for the new compost bins?

Hi, I'm new, and I think this looks great! Perhaps a neon yellow and a neon green? Then they are colors more tuned to nature but still in your face!!

As my old French grandmother used to say, " It's only paint!" Go for it!
I really like your design too.
