My Fiance bought me a Persian shield about 2 months ago.
I grew these last year also but other than that I have no futher experience.
I googled different types of Persia shields because of how small this plant is compared to my plants last year. These are growing only leaves a max size of 2 inchs long.. if that.. nothing has gotten bigger than that.
I added alot of pics. I didn't blow up any pic or alternate in anyways I wanted you to see exactly how it is the best I can anyways.
The plant itself in its entirety is a foot tall.. maybe a foot and 6 inch but I'm doubting that...
So questions has anyone ever heard of different TYPES of Persia shields? If so is it called something else. Iv treated this one just like my last plant but this one was clearly not into same basic care. He preferred alot more shade than my previous one. A full day sun would turn my leaves not only pale but would yellow n fall off. So I moved him to shade / evening light is spotted or dappled some call it. Ill add a pic of her spot on the deck.. the sun misses it all day till even then it gets lite light.
Thanks for your time patients and your knowledge. I gratefully appreciate ALOT ALOT A LOT!!!!!.
This pic shows the P.S. is covered from afternoon n most mornings sun or else it would keep burning on me.

Several pics show what may be inflorescence stems forming. Otherwise, it looks like this plant has been pruned to encourage more branching, which has resulted in a bonsai effect of smaller leaves on more branches. Higher light can play a role in smaller foliage also, if a plant does not need as much surface area per leaf for photosynthesis to occur.
