I bought some Magic Asters on sale for the spots where my mums did not return, but mainly to dig holes to make myself feel better after sending my cat to his final home. Sad Then I bought daffodil and tulip bulbs to plant around a stump from a tree I recently had cut down. I had to dig and pull out years of landscaping tarp and I am still not done. While I work I don't think of my cat until I come inside and he is not there. It really does help to dig and plant. Sighing! I agree with the poet. Perhaps I can perpetuate some beauty in life until I see my cat again.

I've dug many cathartic holes

one time, though, my garden spade over my partner's shoulder clocked me across the head when he turned abruptly--knocked me flat Grumbling tend to see the spade itself as more hurts than heals Hilarious!

Dear Dirtdorphin,
I can picture that spading situation, and it makes me smile. Now that you mention it, I did have a bad spading experience as well. I was tryin to make an edged garden bigger and when the spade just didn't go in the soil deep enough with one stomp from my foot on the top edge Of it. So, I decided to jump onto it with both feet (on top of each side of the spade) D'Oh! and ended up on my back. Thumbs down What a headache and scare that caused!

Samlav - I'm so very sorry for the loss of your dear cat Crying I adore all pets and the hurt is unbelievable when we lose them. While another cat will never ever replace the one you just lost, I do hope when it doesn't hurt so bad that you will get another one.

I agree with Vicki. Sounds like you have a lot of love to give a new baby who dearly needs a loving `mommy`. The shelters are full orphans ready to steal your heart. When you are ready, I`m sure your departed friend will `help` pick the new addition to your loving family.
Our thoughts are with you during this sad time.
